That’s right. As Big W speculated at the beginning of this year – 2010 will be the year of ‘Where are you?’ and geo-location in social media. In fact, according to Nick Bilton of the New York Times, Facebook is planning to take the wraps off of it’s location-sharing feature at the f8 conference in late April. It will be interesting to see how applicable this function is, as Twitter is a ‘hyper-short’ communication system keeping things to a top-line, concise 140 characters.
